Since 1996, the BDWinds has served as a destination ensemble for Bay Area musicians ages 14-22. Every August through May, we develop a unique artistic experience for wind and percussion students, letting melodies blossom in the hands of our young virtuosos. The BDWinds supplements school music programs with a challenging set of repertoire and expert pedagogy, enhancing every student's musical journey at our weekly rehearsals and numerous performances. Our members flourish, learning from masterclasses led by skilled professionals, performing alongside renowned international soloists, and taking chances with leadership and conducting opportunities. Formerly named the Diablo Wind Symphony, the BDWinds is entering an exciting era of growth and change - and we hope you will come be a part of our team!.
