In addition to the 18-time World Champion Blue Devils, BD Performing Arts provides excellent and age-appropriate Open Class drum corps experience to young people ages 7-19 through the Blue Devils B & Blue Devils C programs.
As these local ensembles continue to grow and thrive, coupled with the recent expansion of the Blue Devils Winter Guard, BD Performing Arts is excited to share a leadership update for these programs.
Under the direction of Rick Odello since 2004, Blue Devils B Corps has established itself as a perennial contender and fan favorite from coast to coast, showcasing memorable programs and entertaining audiences year in and year out while providing life-changing experiences for hundreds of young performers.
In The Circle With Blue Devils B
Continuing with that tradition of excellence, BD Performing Arts is excited to announce Rebekah (Becky) Terry as Director of Blue Devils B in 2018. Terry has a wealth of drum corps experience and has contributed immensely to BDPA since joining the organization as Program Administrator in 2016.

“As we welcome Becky in this key role, we are pleased that Rick Odello will serve as Senior Advisor to Blue Devils B, to ensure a smooth transition and a strong, vibrant future for the ensemble," said BDPA CEO Justin Heimbecker. "Rick will continue to serve as Director of Blue Devils C in 2018, focusing on the continued growth of this ensemble which serves our youngest performers.”
Terry stated, “I look forward to working with the dedicated staff and supporters to provide a fun, positive, Blue Devil experience for every BDB performer. It is an honor to take on this role with none other than Rick Odello, a DCI Hall of Famer, as a mentor.”
Rosa Lee Harden, BDPA Board President, stated, “We have been so fortunate to have Rick Odello on our team for the entirety of the 60 years of our organization and we are truly grateful to him for his leadership and vision that allowed the B Corps to reach the high standards that it has today. I am confident that the new BDB leadership team with Becky at the helm, and with Rick guiding that transition, will continue that tradition of excellence.”
This is a very exciting time for each and every student involved in BD Performing Arts, coming off a very successful 60th Anniversary in 2017. The Blue Devils continue to push forward in new ways every single day, and continue to look toward a very bright future, guided by the same Innovative Excellence that has been in our DNA for six decades.
