I am a Blue Devil. I was raised a Blue Devil. I will always be a Blue Devil.

Dear Friend of the Blue Devils,

"It makes me so incredibly proud that my daughters are following in my footsteps," Teresa Saunders declares.

You can certainly understand why this Blue Devils Color Guard alum feels such pride as her two daughters, Alyssa and Gabi, perform during this 60th Anniversary season. They're following in their mother's footsteps and all those who have come before them ... ever since our founding back in 1957!

Now I want to ask you to join with us in this, our 60th anniversary year, and CELEBRATE our past, our present, and our very exciting future. Please help the Blue Devils build upon six decades of worldwide acclaim and accomplishment.

Donor benefits include complimentary tickets to our 60th Anniversary Sneak Peek at the Concord Pavilion and Family Day at Los Medanos College, just to name a few.

The deadline for donors to claim these complimentary tickets is April 30, but to you, our website readers, we are extending that date by a week. Please claim your donor tickets by May 8. See all the donor benefits.

As alum Teresa (who serves as our Volunteer Coordinator) recalls, "I have friends that I have worked so hard with. I've laughed and cried with them. I've won and lost with them. Here we are, years later, and when I see someone I haven't seen in a long time, I hug them so hard and sometimes cry because in that moment, I realize how much I've missed them.

"They are my family. I feel such a sense of pride and gratitude for the experiences and memories." She also appreciates how much her daughters are benefitting from their participation in the Blue Devils.

Teresa stresses that for 20-year-old Alyssa, one of our veteran A Corps Color Guard performers (and an alum of the B Corps and C Corps), the Blue Devils "became her dream, and she was willing to put in the time needed to get better and better and exert years worth of effort – regardless of the blood, sweat, and tears that it takes."

"I see how it has helped shape her as a young woman. I understand how hard she has worked and know the life-changing lessons that participating in this activity enables us to experience. It has given us a shared passion that has enhanced our relationship as mother-and-daughter."

While Alyssa confides, "I had no idea as a nine-year-old walking into the Winter Guard gym in 2007 that this organization would take over my life in every positive way. There is not a day that goes by when I don't stop and think how much of the Blue Devils is a part of me.

"I am a Blue Devil. I was raised a Blue Devil. I will always be a Blue Devil."

Teresa says seven-year-old Winter Guard performer, Gabi, is "just beginning her journey. I love seeing her excitement before walking out on the floor to start the show." Young Gabi declares, "I want to be like my sissy and my mom and be a Blue Devil. It makes me feel really proud."

Teresa, Alyssa, and Gabi are one of many "legacy" families in the Blue Devils family. With their devotion and diligence, they symbolize what's so unique and exceptional about the Blue Devils; it's not quite like this anywhere else in the world.

All our amazing performers – from the A Corps, B Corps, and C Corps, to the Winter Guard and Special Needs Guard, to our Diablo Wind Symphony and RCC Indoor Percussion – are incredibly deserving of your ongoing kindness.

Please pledge your annual support for 2017 by sending a tax-deductible gift today.

Joining together, we can CELEBRATE all you've helped us achieve – and all we can look forward to – as we begin another 60 years of creating cutting-edge magic with the Blue Devils.

Please donate now to take advantage of these benefits before they pass you by. Thank you for your continued support!
