Congratulations to the Bluecoats on an amazing season. We could not be more proud to welcome a first time World Champion, as you join all the past gold medalists. Congratulations to Carolina Crown on an incredible show and season, and congratulations to our fellow west coast brethren Santa Clara Vanguard and all the spectacular drum corps this 2016 season.
2016 - the season we made many dreams come true. The drum line debuted the new System Blue marching drums revolutionizing the scope of the marching world as we know it. We lost an ocean, and we found an ocean. We celebrated the life of Shakespeare and the 400th year of his passing. We were filmed by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's network, 44Blue for a documentary that will air this fall. We welcomed Justin Heimbecker as our new CEO, and we bid congratulations to Pete Emmons as he "aged out" and retired. And we accomplished new heights in all sections of the corps from percussion to brass to color guard. For everyone who has been a part of this remarkable journey, we thank you for making our BD World a better place. The future is bright and we look forward to continued strides and innovations in excellence. Again, we wish the sincerest of congratulations to all of the remarkable performing drum corps this 2016 season.
