Drum Corps Challenge

Drum corps fans from around the world have a chance to get in the game by helping their favorite corps become the winners of the 2015 DRUM CORPS CHALLENGE fundraising contest.

Building on the success enjoyed by various corps playing each other one-on-one in past years, DRUM CORPS CHALLENGE pits 29 different World Class and Open Class corps against each other in Class-level play, with each corps trying to raise more money from their alumni, fans, and friends than every other corps in their class.

To donate, simply go to the unified webpage for the campaign - drumcorpschallenge.com - and click on the helmet for the Blue Devils.

The contest begins Friday, July 10 at 9am eastern, and continues through midnight eastern time on Friday, July 17, with the winners of the contest announced during the DCI live webcast of the San Antonio regional show on Saturday, July 18.

The Participants

The 2015 line-up of World Class contestants includes The Academy, Bluecoats, Blue Devils, Blue Knights, Boston Crusaders, The Cadets, Carolina Crown, The Cavaliers, Colts, Crossmen, Jersey Surf, Pacific Crest, Phantom Regiment, Pioneer, Santa Clara Vanguard, and The Troopers. Open Class participants include 7th Regiment, Blue Saints, Coastal Surge, Eruption, Genesis, Golden Empire, Guardians. Legends, Louisiana Stars, Music City, Racine Scouts, Raiders, and Les Stentors.

Behind the Story

This new campaign was developed by the fundraising teams for Phantom Regiment and The Cavaliers, in the search for a new twist to their annual Backyard Brawl contest. In expanding their contest to the whole activity, they've been able to engage a number of corps who've never tried this type of approach to their fan base, and increased the number of ways and opportunities for the drum corps fans to make a direct impact to the health and well-being of the corps they love the most.
