Diablo Wind Symphony Features Prominent Opera Singer

The Diablo Wind Symphony will present its third concert of the season on Sunday, March 18, 7:30 pm, at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. The concert features operatic vocalist Karen Anderson performing Four Maryland Songs (Stamp), and Les Filles de Cadix (Delibes).

The DWS :Mostly English" concert will include Flourish for Wind Band, Sea Songs, and Rhosymedre (Vaughan Williams), First Suite for Band (Holst), Firework (von der Roost), Navigation Inn March (Sparke), and Hands Across the Sea (Sousa).

The 42-member DWS is made up of the most talented high school and college musicians in the area who present four concerts a season and include prominent guest artists.

Admission is $10 for general and $6 for students and senior citizens. Tickets will be available at the door or by calling the RCA ticket office at 925.943.7469.
