The Blue Devils are pleased to announce that it will be partnering with The Pearl Corporation to use Pearl and Adams percussion equipment exclusively for their organization, which includes the most decorated corps in the history of DCI, the A corps, the 2009 DCI Open Class Champion B corps, the C Corps and BDEntertainment.
Also joining Pearl’s roster of world-renowned artists and educators is The Blue Devils Percussion Director, Scott Johnson. Johnson is one of the most sought after percussion arrangers and marching percussion clinicians in the world today, with personal awards including 13 DCI championships, 12 DCI High Percussion Awards, 2 WGI Championships and the 1977 DCI Individual Snare Championship. The addition of both the Blue Devils and Scott Johnson fortifies an already impressive DCI roster that includes the Santa Clara Vanguard, Boston Crusaders, Blue Stars, Blue Knights and The Troopers.
“We at the Pearl Corporation are very proud to have the Blue Devils and Scott Johnson as part of the Pearl family of artists,” said Rudy Gowern, Marketing and Product Manager for Pearl Marching Percussion. “We believe we manufacture the very best drums and percussion instruments available in the world today, along with distributing the amazing Adams family of instruments, and part of that confidence includes having the very best organizations stand behind your product.”
David Gibbs, Executive Director of The Blue Devils Organization, said, “The Blue Devils always seek to produce the highest quality educational and performance experiences in the areas of musical and dance performance. This new partnership with Pearl and Adams will allow us to maintain our great tradition while creating new opportunities for continued growth and success.”
The Blue Devils would like to thank Dynasty USA and Mark Schafer for all
their support for the past 10 years and wish all the best for their
company.
