A Loss in BD Family

Larry Anzini
4/29/1950 to 9/7/2007

Larry was past President of the Concord Blue Devils Parent's Association. He was a huge supporter over many years. We will all miss Larry very much.

Larry Conway Anzini, died September 7th at Bruns Home, a Hospice home in Alamo . Larry was born on April 29th, 1950 in Scotia , CA and raised on the Anzini family's cattle ranch in southern Humboldt County. Larry attended Sacramento State where he met the love of his life, Lori Godsey. September 11th will be their 36th wedding anniversary. Larry's greatest joy was his family which he raised in Pittsburg and Larry worked at Liberty Union High School as the Food Service Director before retiring in 1998. In 2002 Larry retired back to his family's ranch in northern California. Larry enjoyed tinkering with cars, watching the Niners on TV, and cooking for his family. He was perhaps happiest when the power was out and the rain was pouring.

Larry is survived by his wife Lori; his daughter Donne' Wantland, son-in-law Rod Wantland and granddaughter Haley Cheatwood; his son Daniel Anzini, daughter-in-law Natalie Anzini and is expecting his second granddaughter, to be named Betty Lynn, in October; his father Ray Anzini; and his sisters Diana Anzini and Louise Albonico. Larry was preceded in death this past March by his mother Clara June Anzini. The family held a private celebration of life this past Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to either the Hospice of the East Bay or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
