Remembering Alfred J. DeMello

Alfred J. DeMello, also known as "Sonny" and "Jeff", of Costa Mesa, California, retired, died December 31, 2006 at home. He was born in Hilo, Hawaii. He is survived by son Jeff "Ted" DeMello (BD Alumnus '73-'78), and son David Duge; sisters Dorothy Willams, Theresa Biggerstaff-Millerick, and Jennie Takahashi; brothers Celestine "Billy" and Arthur "Anible" DeMello; partner Ginger McClellend and her daughters Sandy Inklebarger and Patty Simonson.

In the 1980's, Al was a member of the Blue Devils Board of Directors, and activly worked supporting the organizations Bingo fundraising. In the 1970's he was an avid volunteer and drove the A-Corps equipment truck.

January 12 at Noon, at Christ the King Church, Pleasant Hill, California; (199 Brandon Road - map)
January 16 at 11 am (indivdual rememberance from 9am - 11am) , at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo Hawaii. (199 Wainaku Street - map)
