Mike Nevin will be leaving The Blue Devils after three years of amazing
service and dedication. Mike brought his unique style to The Blue
Devils and we will be forever positively impacted by his talents. We
wish him the best in all of his future endeavors.
The Blue Devils are excited to announce that Mr. Jim Wunderlich will be
joining the staff as pit arranger and to head up all aspects of the
front field ensemble.
Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and years of success. He will be
working closely with Scott Johnson, Dave Glyde and the entire Blue
Devil creative team to put an exciting and innovated production
together for 2006.

Jim Wunderlich has been the front ensemble arranger &
instructor for the five-time WGI Medalist Mission Viejo High School
(Mission Viejo, CA) for the past 15 years, and the four-time WGI
Medalist Loara High School (Anaheim, CA) for the past 10 years. He has
also been the Front Ensemble Director at the WGI Independent World
Class Gold Medalist Riverside Community College for the past 2 years.
Jim marched in 1989 with the Suncoast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps. He
provided instruction for the Velvet Knights in 1996 as well as
arrangements & instruction for the Seattle Cascades in 2003. He
currently arranges for the brass & front ensemble at the Esperanza
Drum & Bugle Corps in San Diego, CA.
Other credits include band arrangements for the two-time WBA Champion
Mission Viejo High School where he currently serves at Program
Coordinator. Jim has also provided wind arrangements for numerous other
programs in Southern California and the surrounding areas.
Jim has been serving on the WGI Percussion Advisory Board since 1997,
and currently holds the position of Treasurer for the Southern
California Percussion Alliance.
