Your generosity can create massive momentum as we move into 2024, and it will make a tremendous, direct impact on the youth we serve. Young people such as those in Blue Devils B and C Corps and Blue Devils Special Needs Guard who thrilled audiences throughout California who fell in love with them, and The Blue Devils who capped off an undefeated season with another world championship win in Indianapolis (that’s 21 in case you are counting).
In addition to our vibrant summer programs, we are thrilled to share news about two more dynamic youth initiatives that are in full swing. RCC Indoor Percussion has recently concluded auditions and is gearing up for an exciting winter percussion season. Furthermore, BDWinds (formerly known as Diablo Wind Symphony) has successfully debuted its inaugural concert of the season for these talented young musicians.
But make no mistake, BDPA is not immune to the current economic climate. With rapidly increasing costs related to food, fuel, and safety for multiple ensembles throughout the year, we rely on donors like you to make it all possible. Although we continually drive efficiency and manage economic pressures to keep member fees as low as possible, we need your support to close the gap and keep pace with increasing costs.

BDPA was founded in 1957 and operates as a 501(c)3 corporation. Strategic philanthropy and giving from alumni, friends, family and corporate gifts are more crucial than ever. Our charity bingo operation (BD Bingo) and other business units fall short of meeting the annual budget required to continue our success and reach new heights in pageantry arts and the member experience. Did you know that member tour fees of The Blue Devils cover less than 20% of the operational cost of fielding the corps?
