Exciting News: Diablo Wind Symphony Rebrands as BDWinds!

BD Performing Arts is thrilled to unveil a significant transformation in the form of a rebrand. The cherished Diablo Wind Symphony, a haven for young musicians since 1996, has now donned a fresh identity as BDWinds, ushering in a new era of musical excellence and innovation.

For nearly three decades, Diablo Wind Symphony has nurtured the musical aspirations of 60 to 80 talented local students aged 14 to 22. This remarkable journey has not only been about crafting beautiful symphonic music but also about offering invaluable learning experiences through interactions with seasoned professionals. Students have had the privilege of attending masterclasses and performing alongside internationally acclaimed soloists, enriching their musical journeys in countless ways.

Jim Verrett, the CEO of BDPA, is effervescent about this transformation. He proclaims, “With the exciting addition of Kaitlin Bove as Artistic Director and Conductor, this is the perfect moment to embrace the rebranding as BDWinds, a dynamic new identity that resonates with The Blue Devils' legacy of fostering youth performing arts and education.”

Mark your calendars and prepare for a musical feast! We invite you to join us at BDWinds' inaugural concert on Sunday, October 8, 2023, hosted at the Diablo Valley College Performing Arts Center. The enchanting melodies will begin to fill the air at 3:00 pm, marking the start of a brand-new season filled with musical wonders.
