BD Bingo Giving Back To The Community

Over the last few years, as BD Performing Arts began to rebuild and recover from the COVID 19 pandemic, BD Bingo was a crucial fundraising element enabling our programs to get back on their feet and servicing the community. Today we shine a spotlight on one location that is also making a big impact by supporting their local community.

Nate Reppert has been the Bingo Manager of BD Bingo in Suisun City for less than 2 years, but he hit the ground running with big ideas and a big heart. After 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, he was ready for something new and decided to put his exceptional guest service skills to work in Suisun.

“I love being active and talking with guests and our Suisun hall provides such a great opportunity for those things,” said Reppert. “I realized early on that the size limitations of the Suisun Hall meant we couldn't compete on the same grand scale as some others in the area, but we had an opportunity to set ourselves apart by making the games more unique and really emphasizing our customer service.”

Together with his team of passionate employees, Reppert began pushing the envelope, creating events, and generating a lot of buzz around the operation in Suisun City. In short order, the hall had earned a reputation for quality experiences in a clean space with prizes that bring players from as far as Santa Rosa, Richmond, Roseville, and Sacramento! The North Bay Area community was flocking to see what exciting and inventive things they would do next.

“It was exciting to earn the respect and admiration of the community and know that we are doing everything we can to get people in the doors to support BD Performing Arts,” said Reppert. “How great is it that we get to have fun at work AND support a world class organization that caters to young people?!”

With momentum building around the Suisun hall, Reppert had a novel idea to funnel some of that energy into supporting the local community, so he began connecting with local charities including Toys 4 Tots, the Solano Humane Society, the Solano Food Bank, and more. In one instance this summer the Suisun team even partnered with Vitalant to set up a blood drive at the hall. With well over 30 donors, it was a huge success!

“Working with the community here in Suisun City is something I get really excited about, and the guests and staff have responded so wonderfully when we have asked for their help in giving back to the community. It’s truly amazing,” said Reppert. “The collective heart of our community is just so big, and it was very touching that we could make such an impact.”

Thanks to Reppert and the hardworking team in Suisun, BD Bingo continues to build upon its reputation as a clean, friendly, honest, and fun place to play bingo. Their upcoming community outreach efforts include a Food Drive in November to benefit the Solano/Contra Costa Food Bank and the return of an annual toy drive for the local fire department in December.

"Nate's done a tremendous job transforming our hall in Suisun City, taking it from pandemic survival mode to a customer-centric, thriving operation that shares its success with the local community," said BDPA Director of Bingo, Lucky Kalanges. "The food, clothing, and toy drives have really set Suisun apart from a lot of halls across the North Bay, and have provided a model of community outreach we are expanding to our other locations. We are excited to have Nate leading our team in Suisun."

The Suisun Hall is open nightly, except Tuesdays, with games starting at 6:00pm.
