The name Odello is pretty much synonymous with The Blue Devils, and deservedly so. Over the past 65 years, the Odello family has been an integral part of BDPA, and they always will be – but after Rick's retirement early this season, we are happy to welcome Matt Sieve as the new Corps Director of Blue Devils C!
“I am excited to be accepting the position of C Corps Director. BDPA has been a big part of my life for almost a decade and I'm thrilled to be able to give back and embrace this new role within the organization.” said Sieve.
Matt was a marching member of the A Corps (Tuba), and after aging out he spent many years teaching the B and C Corps. With a BA in Applied Mathematics (focus in Economics) from the University of California Berkeley, Matt comes to us also currently working as a Senior Personal Banker at Fremont Bank in San Ramon, CA.
"Matt brings an experienced youthful energy to the C Corps after two years off. His passion is very evident in his interactions with the staff, parents, and especially, the members," said BDPA Director of Community Programs, John Meehan. "I look forward to watching Matt grow in this role throughout the 2022 season, and well into the future!"
Matt looks to bring a lot of energy to the C Corps as they restart after two years off due to COVID-19. “I’ve always been amazed by the skill and dedication of the BDC students, staff, and volunteers. I am looking forward to serving the students and staff in every way I can, and to continue the BDPA commitment to youth development and performance excellence," Sieve adds.
Exciting things are ahead for BDC and all of BDPA! We thank Rick and Debbie Odello for everything they’ve done for the organization, and we welcome Matt to his new position with excitement and anticipation of what's to come.
