Shaun Gallant, who has been with the organization since 2018, will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer to explore other opportunities outside of the organization and activity.
The search process has already begun and we are excited about potential candidates, both inside and outside of the Blue Devils organization. Shaun will remain CEO until his successor is named.
“It's been my honor to lead BD Performing Arts through this exciting period of growth and change,” Gallant commented. “I'm very proud of everything we accomplished from a business standpoint, but more importantly, how we have extended the reach of BDPA to impact even more young people. To say I valued my time at the organization would be an understatement – I will always be part of the Blue Devil family.”
The past five years have been an extraordinary period of growth for the organization. The Blue Devils have a long history of being more than just a drum corps and during recent years the organization has expanded to include WBA, USBands, RCC Winter Percussion, and an expanded footprint for both educational events and BDEntertainment.
Donna Batchelor, president of BDPA’s Board of Directors commented, “I’ve had the privilege of working with Shaun through his tenure as CEO of BDPA, and I've always valued his focus and vision, as well as his rare combination of business and passion for the activity. The entire board thanks Shaun for his tremendous vision and leadership. We appreciate his willingness to remain CEO through the transition."
