Description
The BDWinds runs from August 2026 through May 2027 and is now accepting members for the full season. To audition, read through the details below, register for your audition, receive your packet, prepare and record your audition materials, and submit your audition online. To be considered for the full season, please submit your audition no later than Saturday, August 1st, 2026.
Apply to be a member of the 2026-27 BDWinds by registering for an audition through this portal. You will be sent a confirmation and your audition packet. Prepare your audition packet excerpts, record, and upload a video per the provided instructions to be considered for the 2026-27 BDWinds.
*NOTE* The BDWinds is an August-May ensemble that meets and rehearses on Monday afternoons in the East Bay (currently in Pleasant Hill). To participate, you must be local to the East Bay during the August-May season. Registration refunds will not be granted to parties who apply from out of area.
Video Submission are accepted for the 2026-27 season through April 5, 2027 - if you have found this audition page after this date, please apply through the new 2027-28 season audition portal.

FALL 2026
Fall Retreat: Sunday, August 16 (Open to all BDWinds members no matter the concert cycle you sign up for)
CYCLE 1
Monday Rehearsal Dates: September 14, 21, 28, and October 5
Concert: Thursday, Oct 8
CYCLE 2
Monday Rehearsal Dates: October 19, 26, and November 2, 9
Concert: Monday, November 16
Winter Social: Monday, November 30 (Open to all BDWinds members no matter the concert cycle you sign up for)
SPRING 2026
Spring Retreat: Sunday, January 31 (Open to all BDWinds members no matter the concert cycle you sign up for)
CYCLE 3
Monday Rehearsal Dates: February 22, March 1, 8, and 15
Concert: TBA (between Mar 16-21)
CYCLE 4
Monday Rehearsal Dates: April 19, 26, May 3 and 10
Concert: Sunday, May 16
Spring Banquet: Monday, May 17 (Open to all BDWinds members no matter the concert cycle you sign up for)

Monday Rehearsals are held from 4:45-7:15 PM at Valley View Middle School in Pleasant Hill, CA unless communicated otherwise
**Tuition Discounts provided for full season commitment, but members can opt to participate in 1-3 cycles as well - BDWinds strives to provide a flexible, professional experience to allow students with all schedules, budgets, and commitment abilities to participate.
