Annette Odello had been taking baton lessons for three years when her parents, Tony and Ann Odello, founded The Blue Devils in 1957. In 1965, Annette started teaching the small group of young twirlers which was to become The Blue Devils Twirling Program. Under her instruction, The Blue Devils have captured 7 USTA National Twirling Corps Championships, numerous National Champion Juvenile, Junior and Senior Team Titles, four gold medals at the U.S. Team Trails and two consecutive World Team Titles. Annette has instructed more teams that have represented the United States at the World Championship than any other coach in the country. More recently, Annette has become involved in the winter guard activity. Blue Devils Winter Guards under her direction have been finalists at the Winter Guard International Championships five times.
