Sharon started dancing at the Phil-Am Ballet School in the Philippines when she was just five years old. When she was 9, her family re-located to the San Francisco Bay Area and later enrolled her at the Santa Clara Ballet School. There, she was trained by Josefa Villanueva and the late Benjamin Reyes, both formerly of the San Francisco Ballet. While at the Santa Clara Ballet School, Sharon danced a variety of roles in productions of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Scuola di Balleto, and Peter and the Wolf.
In high school, Sharon broadened her stage experience by performing with the James Logan Dance Ensemble & Color Guard, and taking part in the school's theater programs, which included such productions as West Side Story and A Chorus Line. In addition, Sharon marched one season with the Santa Clara Vanguard and performed in The Fall of Saigon.
She has been teaching Classical Ballet at Ballet Petit since 1996 and is the founder of the after-school Ballet programs at various Montessori schools in Fremont. Sharon is currently the Director of Montessori Children's House, the flagship location of Montessori West Inc. She also works as a specialist, consulting for Montessori international school start-ups in the SEA region.
Sharon is the founder of Project Pair, a non-profit organization in partnership with Bikes for The Philippines and regularly contributes to many non-profit organizations such as Ohlone College Foundation, various Rotary Clubs and Business Associations of Fremont.
