Laura started her colorguard career as a baton twirler at the age of 10. After a few intimidating auditions for the illustrious Pryor Middle School & Choctawhatchee High School colorguards, she was accepted into Choctaw's program. Upon graduation, she joined the San Jose Raiders and then the Blue Devils summer and winter programs. Before returning to teach with the Blue Devils in 2002, she worked with the Boston Crusaders in 2000 & 2001. She also received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West Florida and currently works at a local PBS station as the outreach coordinator. She also serves with the youth program at her church. She has directed high school colorguard programs in Northwest Florida and continues to consult with colorguards in the area.
