Originally from South Central Los Angeles, Rudy is the current Band Director for The River City Regiment in West Sacramento. His program comprises of the marching band, colorguard, drumline, symphonic band, wind ensemble, big band, and winterguard. Rudy is now entering his sixth year as director and looks forward to another successful year with his students. In recent years, River City has had the distinct pleasure of hosting The Blue Devils in 2019,2022, and 2023.

Previously, Rudy served as a brass instructor for Blue Devils B in 2017 and 2018 as well as an instructor for Antelope High School in 2016 and 2017.

Rudy graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Music(performance emphasis) in 2016 and received his Masters in Music Education from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in 2018.

In 2013, Rudy began his DCI journey by marching with Blue Devils B before winning two World Championships with The Blue Devils in 2014 and 2015.
