Meredith, a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, is currently in her fourth year at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln studying music education. A horn player at heart, she is very excited to work with the Blue Devils B corps' mellophone line, as a member of the Brass Instructional Staff.
Meredith began her drum corps career with with the Colts in 2009. She later marched with the Bluecoats in 2011, before becoming a member of the Blue Devils A corps in 2012. Meredith marched lead mellophone with the corps, until aging out in 2013.
In addition to an undefeated world championship run in 2012, Meredith has also been successful in the Individual & Ensemble competition, taking home three championship medals over the course of two years as a member of both the BD Brass and Vocal ensembles, and as a horn soloist.
Meredith has worked as both a visual and brass instructor for the Lincoln High School Marching Links for the fall of both 2012 and 2013. She plans to begin student teaching this fall for Lincoln Northeast High school, where she will instruct the marching band and a variety of other school ensembles.
Meredith's professional affiliations include NAfME and Sigma Alpha Iota. Meredith serves as the President of UNL's Collegiate chapter of NAfME, as well as the Vice President of Ritual for the Kappa chapter of SAI.
