Jim held the position of front ensemble caption head & arranger for the Blue Devils A Corps from 2006-2017, which amassed 7 DCI Championships and 4 Fred Sanford High Percussion awards during his tenure. Jim entered a new role as the music coordinator & brass arranger for the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps in 2018. In addition, he has been the Front Ensemble Caption Head and Arranger for Tokyo’s Soka Renaissance vanguard since 2007.

In the WGI Percussion domain, Jim held the position of music coordinator & front ensemble arranger for RCC Indoor Percussion from 2004-2020. Other indoor percussion credits include 22 years of arranging & instruction at seven-time WGI PSW medalist Mission Viejo High School, and 15 years at five-time WGI PSA medalist Loara High School.

Jim arranges marching band winds for several programs including the 2015 BOA Grand National Champion Broken Arrow HS, as well as BOA Finalists William Mason HS & Prosper HS.

When Jim is at home, he spends as much time as possible with his wife Eileen, daughter Chloe and his mutt terrier, Henry. He also manages his percussion & marching band website Wunderpit Music at www.wunderpitmusic.com.

Jim is a member of the WGI Hall of Fame, and a founding member of the Southern California Percussion Alliance. He is a proud endorser Pro-Mark, Evans, Planet Waves, Zildjian & Meinl percussion.
