
Rosa Lee is the co-founder and former producer of a series of international conferences for people who invest and work in social enterprises. Described as being at the intersection of money + meaning, the SOCAP conferences (socialcapitalmarkets.net) bring together people who use business as a tool for social change. Currently she leads GatherLab, an organization designed to convene changemakers to find cutting edge solutions to issues particularly pertaining to economic inequality. Prior to working with BD Performing Arts, her nonprofit board work focused on Habitat for Humanity. Rosa Lee was a founding board member of the Metro Jackson Mississippi Habitat for Humanity and served on their board from 1987 to 1996 including two years as board president. Her passion for drum corps also led her in 2008 to be a founding member of the board and the first staff coordinator for Music City Drum Corps in Nashville, Tennessee. Rosa Lee’s daughter, B.J. Harden Jones, was a member of Blue Devils B Corps and Winter Guard Programs from 1996-1999. B.J. marched with the Blue Devils A Corps in 2001 and 2002. During that time Rosa Lee and her husband, Kevin Jones, and their son, Bradley were all active BD volunteers. Rosa Lee joined BD Performing Arts Board of Directors in 2000 and served as president of the board from 2002 to 2004 and from 2016 to 2019.
