Zak Stillwell is a full time visual designer, instructor, and clinician based out of Fremont, California. He began his marching career as a performer in the Academy Drum and Bugle corps from Tempe, Arizona before spending four seasons with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps in Concord, California. Having been active in the marching scene for over a decade, Zak has helped earn seven DCI world championships as an instructor and performer. In addition to his drum corps experience, Zak studied music education and euphonium performance at the University of Arizona, under the instruction of Dr. Kelly Thomas.

Zak has taught and designed for high schools in Arizona, California, and Oregon. His work has consistently produced finalist finishes in both BOA and local circuits. 2018 marks Zak's 11th year with the Blue Devils, where he currently serves as a visual instructor, and is a caption head and designer for the Blue Devils B corps visual program.
